Using social media channels is an unavoidable strategy these days for all organisations who want to stay ahead of the game (or even in with a chance!). It's a great way to amplify your brand and draw attention to your content, but social media marketing requires considerable forethought and planning in order to have any impact.

In addition to thinking about the message, attached images, tone and target audience for each post, we also have think when the best time to publish would be to gain maximum engagement. This becomes further complicated if you post on different social media platforms as they each have optimal publishing times. Not forgetting publishing across different geographical regions of course! 

This all sounds like a fairly daunting task, but thankfully the social media experts at Hootsuite have been kind enough to share their insights which they've gained from analysing over 400 million posts from Hootsuite users. Think I'll be taking a close look at this.....
