The comment below might imply that Marketing hold all the cards in the success of a business but the reality is that Sales and Marketing need to be aligned if they are to really deliver results.

Having spent much of my career on the commercial side of the fence, I did chuckle at the comments in this great video from @garyvee as he is spot on about how sales teams can view their marketing colleagues (and of course, vice versa).

However, times have changed and social marketing and social selling means that these two giants have to start seeing each other differently and if you need convincing, take a look at these stats.  He is completely right that the Sales & Marketing teams who manage to work cohesively together in the future are the ones that are going to win in the long term.
